Nfl Football Preview – Here Come the Seahawks: Stumbling and Bumbling Into Holmgren’s Last Year

Just when Seattle’s Mike Holmgren is entering his last year as head coach, his Seahawks are now stumbling and bumbling their way into what appears to be a Larry, Mo and Curly comedy routine.

After dusting off the Minnesota Vikings 34-17 in their first 2008 preseason game on the road in Minneapolis, the Seahawks narrowly escaped defeat in their home preseason opener against the Chicago Bears, winning 29-26 in an error-prone display of ineptness. For the Seahawks’ faithful, it was no laughing matter.

There are big hopes in Seattle this year, especially since Holmgren is entering his last year after winning an AFC West Division title, an NFC Wildcard berth, 4 consecutive NFC West Division championships (2004 through 2007), an NFC championship, and taken the Seahawks to their first-ever Super Bowl appearance in 2005, which they promptly lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 21-10.

NFL Tickets – Week 5 Fantasy Pickups

Here are some players that could be worth picking up in your fantasy football league.

Kyle Orton, Quarterback, Denver Broncos: Orton may not be a sexy play at quarterback in fantasy football, but he’s been solid and steady this season for the Broncos. He’s not going to wow anyone with his arm, but he seems to be settling into Josh McDaniels’ offense pretty nicely. He’s got a solid group of wide receivers and Brandon Marshall seems to be coming on now that he’s in football shape. This team seems to move the ball decently and though Orton is not going to blow you away with his numbers, he’s a pretty good backup to have for your quarterback’s bye week and as an injury insurance policy.

Sidney Rice, Wide Receiver, Minnesota Vikings: Rice seems to be developing a solid rapport with Brett Favre over the last two weeks. He’s got nine catches between those two games, scoring in both contests. Rice has a lot of talent and the speed to be a

Philadelphia Eagles Tickets – Assistant Coaches Added

Along with Pederson, Rory Segrest was named defensive line coach, Ted Daisher was made special teams coordinator and James Urban was give the position of quarterbacks coach. NFL Predictions: Vikings and Packers Favorites in NFC North

The defending NFC North Division champion Minnesota Vikings and their arch rivals that were runners up last year, the Green Bay Packers are the top two NFL betting choices to win the division title for 2010. Green Bay +125 is the public betting favorite at online sportsbooks in NFC North odds along with the Vikings. The Chicago Bears make for an interesting +350 play as a potential value and the hapless Detroit Lions are the longest shot on the board to win the NFC North at +2000. The big question in the North of course is the status of Minnesota Viking quarterback Brett Favre.

Favre is expected to return although nothing has been announced officially except that he is tossing passes to high school kids at home in Mississippi again, which has become a rite of summer. Favre is coming off one of his finest seasons ever but again had a brain malfunction when it counted most as he threw away a Super Bowl bid in the late moments of the NFC title

Jared Allen’s Mullet- 2009

Ten Reason’s that the Minnesota Vikings’ Jared Allen’s Mullet will win the Super Bowl

Jared Allen’s Mullet is “ Heaven Right now”-Recently, Jared shared his comments about the Minnesota Vikings summer camp. At the end of his comments, he stated that his Mullet was and I quote , “….Heaven right now” That to me is a sense of urgency with a little bit of a nudge for the Man Upstairs

Jared Allen’s Mullet is “ For Intimidation, Business up Front and Party in the Back and You never know who is coming to get you. You can find this quote on YouTube in a video about Jared Allen explaining his mullet.

Jared Allen’s Mullet has racing stripes for sacks. Any good defensive player is rated by sacks. A sack for a defensive player is when he tackles the quarterback before the quarterback can release the football. A sack for a professional football player is like an Oscar for an Actor. Jared

Jacksonville Jaguars Tickets- Collier Remembers Shooting

If the man who shot Jacksonville Jaguars offensive linemen Richard Collier was hoping that the 14 bullets he hit him with would fog his memory, they were wrong. In a recent interview, Collier says that he remembers everything from that night, from being in front of the apartment building to being brought to the hospital by ambulance. This is bad news for alleged shooter Tyrone Romaroo Hartsfield, who recently appeared for a pretrial hearing. During the hearing, Hartsfield’s lawyer filed a motion for the addresses of Collier and other witnesses. The result was that there will be another pretrial hearing in December. Hartsfield has been charged with attempted murder as well as the possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. So far, Hartsfield has pleaded not guilty to the shooting on September 2, which left Collier paralyzed from the waist down and without one of his legs.

In the same interview with Collier, he commented about remaining positive about

Nfl Tickets – Lt And Mcnabb Head To New Teams, Unforeseen Futures

With a series of premier players in the NFL being released or traded this offseason already, a group of potential hall-of-famers enter the twilight of their careers wearing uniforms they used to call the enemy.  Though no one was very surprised, LaDainian Tomlinson was the first to go, as he was cut by the San Diego Chargers before they had to pay him a sizeable bonus.  After being a staple with the Philadelphia Eagles for a decade, perennial Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb was also recently traded to the Washington Redskins, a team that plays the Eagles twice a year.  Other prominent players like Thomas Jones and Julius Peppers also head to new teams with unsure futures.  Which ones will have the best chance of succeeding in a new city?

The obvious answer seems to be Julius Peppers, who at age 30 is still in his prime and just signed a .5 million deal with the Chicago Bears that spans six years.  Peppers is an elite talent at defensive end and

Brett Favre and Vikings vs 49ers: ESPN Sunday Night Football

The annual “will he or won’t he play” is now officially over as Brett Favre will suit up in the purple and gold for the Minnesota Vikings when they face the San Francisco 49ers for Sunday night football on ESPN. Online sportsbooks have the 49ers -3 favorites in NFL preseason betting for week 2 vs the Vikings while the over/under total is listed at 35. Bookmakers also favor the 49ers -145 vs the Vikings +125 in NFL odds for preseason money lines. As the private plane landed at Flying Cloud Airport in Minnesota on August 16th; the TV cameras followed Favre’s every move in a black SUV on his way to Vikings training camp, reminiscent of a certain USC Trojan. Now a week later in Favre’s return, the old gun slinger from Mississippi will enter his 20th season at quarterback and will start vs San Francisco for Sunday Night football on ESPN.

Did Favre know all along and just want to miss the dreaded two-a-days at camp or was he seriously considering
